Rheotanytarsus acerbus (Johannsen) is described in detail by Kyerematen, Andersen & Saether 2000.
Distribution. The species was described by Johannsen in 1932 based on the specimen collected in Sumatra, Indonesia. The species has a typical oriental distribution, including records from West Bengual in India by Chaudhuri et al. and southern China (Guangdong and Taiwan provinces).
