Cryphia (Euthales) sp. (near pallida)
Notes
We collected five females from Taddart, Tamal, Ighalene and Timzilite. One specimen, as well as its genitalia, are illustrated in Fig. 10. Upon dissection, these specimens exhibited similarities to a female of C. pallida (Bethune-Baker, 1894) as described in Noctuidae Europaeae vol. 11 ( Fibiger et al. 2009). However, the results of DNA barcoding showed only a 97.8 % to 98.16 % match with this species, indicating a potential taxonomic discrepancy. Another potential identification for our specimens could be C. rungsi (Boursin, 1941) , which has been described from Morocco. However, C. rungsi has never been barcoded and the morphology of its female genitalia is unknown (A. Zilli, pers. comm.)
