Aiolopus obariensis Usmani, 2008a: 2 View Cited Treatment .
Diagnosis: This species can be distinguished from other species of Aiolopus by the following characters: fastigium of vertex wide, convex, slightly depressed in middle, as long as wide, apex strongly narrowed; fastigial foveolae trapezoid; inner apical spurs slightly less than one and a half times as long as outer pair; arolium about one third length of claw; right antennae normal, left antennae short, 4–5 segmented, apical segment club-shaped.
Habitats: It is a grassland species, predominantly in grassy places. A few specimens were collected from one locality only.
Material examined: Wadi Haya region : Obari, 3 ♂, 2 ♀, on alfalfa, 30.v.1995 .
Localities: Fezzan: Wadi haya, Obari.
Distribution: Libya.
Remarks: This new species is similar to A. simulatrix (Walker) but differs from it by the characters outlined above.
