Notes. These specimens are variable in the presence of white or black hair on the pleura and face and in the extent of the black infuscation in the costal cell of the wing. This supports the view (Greathead, 2000a) that this species, V. turneri Hesse and V. loewii Hesse are probably a single variable species.
