Lectotype (designated here): ––Mysore; at Bellary, 1834, Wight 1793? ( K barcode K000245012 !), Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 .
Notes:–– Hooker’s (1896) description of Tripogon wightii is evidently based on a collection made by Robert Wight in 1834 from Bellary in Mysore (Wight 1793? [sic!]). Since no other specimens were cited in the protologue and duplicates were not available at any herbaria, the Wight’s specimen cited in the protologue available at Kew Herbarium (Wight 1793?, barcode K000245012!) is designated here as the lectotype of Tripogon wightii Hook.f.
