Salix neowilsonii W.P.Fang (1948: 313) View in CoL .
Type:— CHINA. Sichuan [Szechuan]: Chengdu [Chengtu], Jing Ju Si [Tsing Chu Ssu], 15 March 1945, W. P. Fang 19403 (holotype SZ00516909 ; isotype IBK00078135 About IBK ) . One of the paratypes: CHINA. Sichuan: Chengdu, Wang Jiang Lou [Wang-Kiang-lau], 15 March 1947, W. P . Fang 19616 ( CQNM0020750 About CQNM , SZ00051523 ) .
Note:—In the protologue (Fang 1948), W. P. Fang 19403 was designated as the type without specifying the herbarium. Two duplicates were traced at PE and SZ, only the duplicate at SZ (00516909) where W. P. Fang worked at that time bears the handwritten annotation determined by W. P. Fang. It may be single specimen used by Fang when he preparing the protologue for the name and might be therefore considered as the holotype according to Art. 9.1 ( Turland et al. 2018). Both duplicates do not bear the information of the locality of “Tsing Chun Ssu” (probably Jing Ju Si in east of former Chengdu downtown). The gathering W. P. Fang 19616 is one of 27 paratypes cited in the protologue, another duplicate of which is deposited at SZ.
