REMARKS
First record for Malta where it seems to be not really a rare species; however, it is easily overlooked due to its small size and ephemeral appearance. It is readily recognized by the percurrent costa and asymmetrical capsule with oblique apiculus. In Italy, this species seems to be rather scattered, absent in southern Italy and threatened in Siciliy from where it is known from a single locality ( Campisi et al. 2003; Aleffi et al. 2008).
