DISTRIBUTION: Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include: one Fagaceae species ( Quercus sp. ) in South Africa ( Fawcett 1901); one Phyllanthaceae species ( Maesobotrya vermeulenii (De Wild.) J.Léonard ) in the Democratic Republic of Congo ( Latham 2003) and one Myrtaceae species ( Psidium guajava L.), two Anacardiaceae species ( Mangifera sp. and Schinus sp. ), one Euphorbiaceae species ( Ricinus communis L.), one Ulmaceae species ( Trema bracteolata Blume ) and one Capparidaceae species ( Maerua sp. ) in unnamed countries in Africa ( Pinhey 1972b) . Larval foodplants of the taxon are unknown in Zambia.
