DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants for the taxon include: six Myrtaceae species ( Eucalyptus paniculata Sm. , E. saligna Sm. , E. diversicolor F.Muell. , E. melliodora A.Cunn. ex Schauer , E. drepanophylla F.Muell. ex Benth. and E.

cladocalyx F.Muell.), one Anacardiaceae species ( Schinus mole L. ), and two Rosaceae species ( Prunus cerasus L. and P. serotina Ehrh. ) in Kenya ( Gardner 1957) ; one Meliaceae species ( Khaya grandifoliola C.DC. ) in Uganda ( Gardner 1957); one Myrtaceae species ( Eucalyptus sp. ) in Tanzania ( Gardner 1957); one Myrsinaceae species ( Maesa alnifolia Harv. ), one Melianthaceae species ( Bersama abyssinica Fresen. ), three Fabaceae species ( Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp., Eriosema sp. and Pseudarthria sp. ), one Myrtaceae species ( Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh. ), one Combretaceae species ( Combretum sp. ), two Rosaceae species ( Cotoneaster sp. and Rosa sp. ), one Euphorbiaceae species ( Croton macrostachyus Hochst. ex Delile ), one Cupressaceae species ( Cupressus lusitanica Mill. ), one Ebenaceae species ( Euclea sp. ) and one Pinaceae species ( Pinus patula Schiede ex Schltdl. & Cham. ) in unnamed African countries. No host plants of the taxon are reported from Zambia.
