DISTRIBUTION: South Africa, Zambia. LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Type locality Bangweolo [now Bangweulu] District, [now NE Zambia], in Luapula Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S):According to the African Moths (2019) webpage, larval foodplants of the taxon include: two Combretaceae species Combretum mossambicense (Klotzsch) Engl. and C. mole R.Br. ex G.Don ; one Ebenaceae species,
Diospyros villosa (L.) De Winter; two Malvaceae , Theobroma cacao L. and Triplochiton scleroxylon
K.Schum.; one Polygonaceae species, Antigonon leptopus Hook. & Arn. One yet to be identified
Cupressaceae species, Cupressus sp. ; one yet to be identified Myrtaceae , Eucalyptus sp. ; five Fabaceae species namely, Julbernardia magnistipulata (Harms) Troupin , Senna siamea (Lam.) H.S.Irwin &
Barneby, Vachellia karroo (Hayne) Banfi & Galasso , Bauhinia variegata L. and Brachystegia spiciformis
