Type locality. Oahu, Hawaii.

Ecological type. Field-hopper, moss-hopper.

Habitat. Pickorchestia pickeringi is a terrestrial land-hopper living on Mount Ka’ala, O’ahu at 853 m altitude, in the axils of Astelia , but also collected widely in the Ko’olau Mountains at high altitudes, usually in the axils of Freycinetia arborea .

Size. Male, 13.0 mm, female, 15.0 mm.

Diagnosis.

With the characters of the genus.

Distribution. Hawaii. Oahu: Lanipo Trail, Manoa Cliffs Trail, Mount Tantalus ; Poamoho Trail, Pe’ahinai’a Trail, Ko’olau Mountains ( Richardson, 1991).
