Comments. No exact locality information in Iran known for this species. Recent material from Iran was not available for this study.

Chorotype. Сentralasiatic (5.03 СAS).

Published data. Nikbakhtzadeh & Tirgari (2002: Hamedan).

Comments. This taxon is mentioned among members of “ Pedilidae ” together with Eurygenius sp. (see comment below), and is depicted on page 60. We herewith confirm the depicted specimen as a member of Pedilus (in a group of Сentral Asian species with red pronota), but it is impossible to recognize the species on basis of the photograph.
