Like subsp. (a) but stem and leaves with long, stiff, whitish, eglandular hairs only (rarely glabrous); petiole of lower leaves up to 10 mm; calyx ciliate but otherwise glabrous. 2n = 34. S.E. Europe, extending westwards to N. Italy.
