Uleiota dubius (Fabricius, 1801)

Uleiota dubius is newly recorded in Atlantic Canada ( Fig. 1 ). Species of Brontini are found primarily under bark where both adults and larvae probably feed on ascomycete and other fungi (Th omas 1993, 2002a). Common under bark of hardwoods ( Downie and Arnett 1996). In Nova Scotia recorded from maple ( Acer sp., Aceraceae ), and apple ( Pyrus malus L., Rosaceae ).
