Diagnosis. Body stout. Head ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 40 – 47 ) with lateral margin of occiput not well defined. Eyes without pubescence. Antennae of female ( Fig. 41 View FIGURES 40 – 47 ) pilose, cilindrical, widened towards apex, club 7­segmented, conspicuous. Antennae of male ( Fig. 42 View FIGURES 40 – 47 ) with the first flagellomere straight, shorter than second. Dorsal margin of pronotal plate ( Fig. 43 View FIGURES 40 – 47 ) broadly concave; sides of pronotum smooth. Mesoscutum ( Figs. 44 and 45 View FIGURES 40 – 47 ) slightly convex in profile, smooth. Dorsal part of scutellum ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 40 – 47 ) areolate­rugose, dorsoposterior part in dorsal view bluntly rounded. Scutellar plate ( Figs. 44 and 45 View FIGURES 40 – 47 ) large, weakly elevated, with an anterior area slightly concave, elliptical pit close to the posterior margin of the plate. Mesopleuron ( Fig. 44 View FIGURES 40 – 47 ) without subalar pit. Metapleuron ( Fig. 44 View FIGURES 40 – 47 ) almost smooth. Forewings ( Fig. 46 View FIGURES 40 – 47 ) hyaline, dusky at base, pubescent, apical margin with hair fringe; marginal cell anteriorly partially open; veins darkened. Metacoxa ( Fig. 47 View FIGURES 40 – 47 ) with a band of hairs along the posterior margin. Third abdominal tergum of metasoma ( Fig. 44 View FIGURES 40 – 47 ) with a dense hairy ring at base; metasoma distally smooth.

Geographical distribution. Neotropical Region: Brazil. (Gallardo et al. 2000). In Brazil it is distributed throughout the States of Mato Grosso do Sul (Gallardo et al. 2000), São Paulo and Minas Gerais (new records).

Hosts. Lonchaeidae : Neosilba sp. (in Gallardo et al. 2000).

This species was obtained mainly from lonchaeids puparia associated with Rutaceae fruits.

Remarks. Trybliographa Förster, 1869 is mainly holartic ( Nordlander 1981). However, some species of this genus were recorded to the Neotropical Region ( De Santis 1965; 1980; Gallardo et al. 2000).

Type material. BRAZIL. Mato Grosso do Sul: Holotype: Anastácio, Chácara Laranjal, 06.IX.1993, (1 female). Allotype: same locality as Holotype, 05.IX.1994, (1 male). Paratypes: Colonia Jamic, Terenos, 14.V.1993, (1 female); Anastácio, Chácara Laranjal, 23.VIII.1993, (2 males); 06.IX.1993, (1 female); 20.IX.1993, (1 female); 27.IX.1993, (2 males, 1 female), coll. M. A. Uchôa F. (ESALQ­USP). Aquidauana, Morro do Paxini, 10.II.1994, (1 males, 1 female), coll. M. A. Uchôa F. ( MLP).
