Geographical distribution. Neotropical Region: Brazil and Argentina ( Loiácono & Diaz 1977). In Brazil it is distributed throughout the States of Rio de Janeiro ( Costa Lima 1940) and Goiás (new record).
Hosts. Lonchaeidae : Neosilba pendula (in Costa Lima 1940).
All the material studied in this paper was collected in the State of Goiás using a Malaise trap.
Remarks. Borgmeier (1935) emphazised that Tropideucoila Ashmead, 1903 is very similar to Dettmeria Borgmeier, 1935 . Costa Lima (1940) described Tropideucoila weldi and remarked its similarity with D. euxestae . The analysis of material collected in Brazil suggested that T. weldi could be better placed in Dettmeria than in Tropideucoila .
Material collected. BRAZIL. Goiás: 25.X.1998 (1 female); 21.XI.1998 (1 female); 22.XI.1998 (1 female); 6.V.2000 (1 female), coll. C. Marchiori ( MLP).
