Type material (1 ♂). Holotype: China: ♂, labeled ‘ China: Guangdong Province, Ruyuan Hsien (viiAEA), Nanling N. R. (*≷), Hamashi (AE), 24°55’37’’N, 112°59’21’’E, mixed forest, leaf litter, sifted, 1750 m, 01.v.2015, Peng, Tu, Zhou leg.’
Diagnosis. Antennomere XI with moderately prominent disc-like protuberance at base. Head lacking median vertexal carina. Pronotum entirely, densely and coarsely punctate. Elytral subhumeral sulci absent. Profemora simple, protrochanters and protibiae lacking protuberance, mesotibiae with apical spur. Apical lamina of abdominal sternite VII transverse. Aedeagus with right parameres curved laterally, internal sac bearing several sclerotized spines and densely hairy sclerite.
Description. Male ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A). Length 1.96 mm. Head slightly longer than wide, HL 0.45 mm, HW 0.38 mm, lacking median vertexal carina; lateral portions of frons coarsely punctate; each eye composed of about 29 facets. Antennomere XI ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 B, 1C) with moderately prominent disc-like protuberance at base, diameter of protuberance about one-seventh of segmental length. Pronotum wider than long, PL 0.43 mm, PW 0.48 mm, entirely covered with dense and coarse punctation. Profemora simple, protrochanters and protibiae lacking spur, mesotibiae with long acute apical spur ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 D). Elytra wider than long, EL 0.73 mm, EW 0.80 mm, smooth; subhumeral sulci absent. Abdomen wider than long, AL 0.35 mm, AW 0.71 mm; abdominal tergite IV (first visible tergite) with discal carinae extending to three-fifths of tergal length; abdominal sternite VII modified ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 E), with apical lamina transverse, rounded at apex of lateral margin. Length of aedeagus ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 F) including parameres 0.27 mm, right paramere curved laterally, internal sac bearing several sclerotized spines and densely hairy sclerite.
Female. Unknown.
Distribution. Southern China: Guangdong.
Etymology. The specific epithet ‘ acutus ’ in Latin means ‘pointed, sharp’, referring to the shape of the acute apical spur of the mesotibiae.
