Parapharyngiella

As well as in the analysis by Van Steenkiste et al. (2013) and Van Steenkiste and Leander (2018), the position of Parapharyngiella as sister group to the other representatives of Trigonostominae is well supported in our current phylogeny. Three species of Parapharyngiella cluster in a fully supported clade as well as cluster three specimens of P. caribbaea .
