Material examined. BRASIL, Amazonas, Ipixuna, Rio Gregrório com[munity] Lago Grande, 07°10’11.7’’ S 70°49’10.3’’ W, 18–20.v.2011, Malaise [trap], J.A. Rafael, J.T. Câmara, F. Silva, A. Somavilla, C. Gonçalves leg. (3 INPA).
Diagnosis. Eyes separated by little less than 1 facet diameter; eye bridge with 4 facet rows except median margin with only 3 rows; interocular suture as inverted Y-shaped, stem longer than arm ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 7 ). Flagellomere 1 elongate, fusiform, nearly as long as scape and pedicel combined ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 7 ). Proportion of palp segments = 1.0:2.3:2.7:2.8 ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 7 ). Wing brown with radial fork and medial fork complete ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 7 ). Gonocoxal apodeme with pair of slender, acute processes flanking aedeagus and extending nearly to tip of aedeagus ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 7 ); paramere bluntly rounded, slightly shorter than gonocoxal processes ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 7 ); epandrium rather subrectangular with two foramina near anterior margin ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 7 ); cercus with 2 tenacula, basal separated from apical by more than width of cercus ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1 – 7 ).
Variation. Male: Aedeagus as long as paramere.
Distribution. Panama and Brazil (new record).
