Up to 10 cm, caespitose, woody at the base. Flowering stems 3-6 cm, with internodes distinctly shorter than leaves, velutinous. Leaves 10-15 x 1-5-2 mm, narrowly oblanceolate, acute, often denticulate, velutinous, the basal half ciliate. Inflorescence a dense, oblong capitulum. Bracts c. 9 x 4 mm, ovate, acute, bluish-grey-green. Calyx 4—5 mm, the tube more or less cylindrical, villous-velutinous; upper teeth c. 0-5 mm, narrowly lanceolate, ciliate. Corolla 7-9 mm, pinkish-purple. • W. Greece (Kefallinia). Gr.
