Taxonomy. Thomasomys cineretventer dispar Anthony, 1925 , Andalucia [Andalucia], Eastern Andes, Huila, Colombia .
Series of T. dispar from San Agustin, Huila, may represent an undescribed species. Monotypic.

Descriptive notes. Head-body 98-119 mm, ear 20-5-21-5 mm, hindfoot 27-2-33 mm. No specific data are available for body weight. Fur of the Colombian Oldfield Mouse is soft, dense, and comparatively long. Pelage is mummy brown on back and sides, heavily washed with fuscous black in mid-dorsal region. Venter ranges between ivory-yellow and cream-buff, gradually transitioning to darker color on flanks. Small ears are covered with short brown hair. Mystacial vibrissae are long, extending well beyond posterior margin of pinnae when bent. Tail is very long (125-186% of head-body length), incipiently bicolored, with terminal white tip. Hindfoot is moderately long and narrow. Hallux is moderately long, with claw extending less than about one-half the length of first phalanx of second digit.
Habitat. Montane forests at elevations of 2130-3310 m.
