Material examined. CANADA: Manitoba, Lake Winnipeg, 3 km off Grand Rapids, 1 male, 15.vii. 1969; Old Fishing Dock, 1 male, 16.vi. 1969; Calder's Dock, 1 male, 25.viii. 1971

Distribution. The species is known from Manitoba, Ontario, Michigan and Maine south to Pennsylvania, Oregon and Kansas, as well as from Russia ( Oliver et al. 1990: 14, Ashe & O’Connor 2009: 237).
