Type material. Holotype ♀, PAKISTAN: Punjab: Lahore, Lahore Cantonment [ca. 31°28’35.57”N, 74°24’48.99”E; 229 m a.s.l.], 1928–1929, collector unknown (depository unknown; not examined).

Diagnosis. Not applicable.

Distribution. Pakistan (Punjab) ( Fig. 26 ).

Remarks. The holotype of T. ancorum is seemingly a female specimen with a body length of eight millimetres. The fact that this species is compared to T. telonotata Dyal, 1935 , and that none of the characters shown in the figures for both species in Dyal (1935: figs 141–146) is congruent with those of Thelcticopis species or of another genus of the family Sparassidae , we consider this taxon as a species incertae sedis.
