Diagnosis. Medium-sized, length: 3.2–5.2 mm, robust, with bicolorous elytra, almost as wide as long: black with an intense blue-green lustre, completely or partly margined with purple or red; red pattern often missing and some specimens (namely from Venezuela) possess completely dark blue-green elytra ( Figs. 55–57 View FIGURES 55 – 63. 55 – 57 ); aedeagus—Fig. 81. Very similar and probably related to T. (T.) humerale from which it differs slightly in the more angulate pronotal margins, somewhat different elytral pattern and slightly in the form of male genitalia ( Figs. 81 View FIGURES 72 – 81 vs. 80).

Bionomy. Unknown..

Sexual dimorphism. The female differs from the male in the larger size and black frons (frons in male with red lustre).

Distribution. French Guyana (new country record), Tobago (new country record), Trinidad, Venezuela (new country record).

Note. Specimens from Venezuela are rather variable in colouration: the elytral red pattern is often rather reduced, in some specimens completely missing so that elytra are entirely black with a more or less intense blue or green lustre.
