Type locality: ‘ St. Christopher, West Indies ; on the sand: Mr. Miller, 1799’.
Label locality: ‘St. Christopher, West Indies’.
Collector: Miller.
Type material: Lectotype NHMUK 1968175/1 and 1 paralectotype 1968175/2 (H. Cuming collection). Indirect lectotype selection by inference of holotype ( Cernohorsky, 1969: 214).
Remarks: ‘ Boavista, Cape Verde Islands’ designated as type locality by Bratcher & Cernohorsky (1987: 168).
