Description. Female (n = 10). Body polished and covered with punctures and silvery setae; length 11.7–15.0 mm. Setae on head and mesosoma exceptionally long and erect.

Head 0.55–0.6 × as long as wide. Combined length of clypeus and face 1.0 × facial width. Clypeus smooth ventrally, densely punctate dorsally, slightly convex in lateral view, without central transverse ridge. Face densely punctate, slightly convex medially in lateral view, without a pair of convexities just above of each anterior tentorial pit. Frons concave, without horns or convexities. Malar space 0.55–0.6 × as long as basal mandibular width. Genal carina lamella-like ventrally, reaching mandibular base. POL 1.5–1.65 × as long as OD. OOL 1.5–1.7 × as long as OD. Temple rather linearly narrowed behind eye in dorsal view ( Fig. 13 D View FIGURE 13 ). Antenna with 46–49 flagellomeres. FL I 4.8–5.0 × as long as maximum depth in lateral view and 2.0–2.15 × as long as FL II. Preapical flagellomere 1.1–1.2 × as long as maximum width.

Mesosoma coarsely and densely punctate, 1.4 × as long as maximum height. Pronotum with small smooth area just behind of epomia. Epomia present, short, its dorsal part largely absent. Mesopleuron densely punctate; speculum with a large smooth area, its lower area concave ( Fig. 13 E View FIGURE 13 ). Epicnemial carina present latero-ventrally and ventrally, its dorsal end remote from anterior margin of mesopleuron, without angulation ( Fig. 1 G View FIGURE 1 ). Dorsal surface of propodeum without transverse rugae. Posterior transverse carina of propodeum present but sometimes partly obsolete medially and/or laterally. Fore wing length 9.7–10.1 mm. Areolet receiving vein 2m-cu near the middle, petiolated anteriorly; petiole longer than areolet ( Fig. 13 F View FIGURE 13 ). Fore wing vein 1cu-a subvertical, slightly postfurcal or interstitial to vein M&RS. Nervellus reclivous, intercepted posterior to the middle. Hind femur 6.25–6.5 × as long as maximum depth in lateral view. Ratio of length of first to fifth hind tarsomeres 3.8–4.0: 2.0: 1.4: 0.55–0.65: 0.7. Hind tarsal claws pectinate by short teeth, strongly bent apically (ca. 90°) ( Fig. 2 I View FIGURE 2 ).

Metasoma. T I 2.3–2.6 × as long as maximum width, densely punctate except for smooth areas on median longitudinal area and area along posterior margin. T II 1.8 × as long as maximum width, densely punctate. T III to T V coriaceous with fine and dense punctures. Ovipositor sheath 2.1–2.2 × as long as hind tibia, ca. 1.05 × as long as fore wing, and shorter than body length.

Colouration ( Figs 13 A–F View FIGURE 13 ). Body (excluding wings and legs) black. Clypeus, mandible except for teeth, face, malar space, inner orbit on frons and vertex, and outer orbit yellow. Scape and pedicel tinged with yellow to reddish-yellow ventrally. Flagellum brown except for basal segments tinged with reddish-yellow. Pronotum with a pair of dorsal spots and collar yellow. Propleuron except for anterior black marking yellow. Mesoscutum with a pair of antero-lateral yellow markings and a median yellow marking. Subtegular ridge, antero-dorsal and postero-ventral spots of mesopleuron, posterior part of mesosternum, tegula, scutellum except a median small black spot, postscutellum, a pair of antero-lateral spots of propodeum, and a posterior triangle marking of metapleuron and propodeum yellow. A pair of antero-lateral yellow spots of propodeum sometimes united into a posterior triangle yellow marking of propodeum. T I yellow except for a subapical black stripe. T II to T VII reddish-yellow each with yellow posterior margin. T II and T III sometimes partly indistinctly darkened. Membranous parts of metasomal sternites largely yellow. Subgenital plate reddish-yellow. Ovipositor reddish-brown. Wings hyaline. Apical clouded area of fore wing present and distinct. Veins and pterostigma brown except for yellowish-brown wing base and median part of pterostigma. Fore and mid legs yellow except for mid fifth tarsomere black. Hind coxa blackish-brown basally, yellow apically. Hind trochanter and femur reddish-yellow except for each apex tinged with yellow. Hind trochantellus yellow. Hind tibia yellow basally, reddish-yellow apically. Hind tibial spurs reddish-yellow to reddish-brown. Hind tarsus dark reddish-brown to blackish-brown.

Male (n = 23). Similar to female ( Figs 14 A–C View FIGURE 14 ). POL 1.6–1.8 × as long as OD. OOL 1.3–1.6 × as long as OD. Antenna with 50–52 flagellomeres. Tergal spiracles not enlarged. Hind femur 5.75–6.2 × as long as maximum depth in lateral view. T I 2.75–3.05 × as long as maximum width. T II 2.0–2.25 × as long as maximum width. Yellow area of body larger than female. Yellow spots of mesopleuron united into a large yellow area with yellow mesosternum. Apex of metasoma weakly darkened.

Distribution. Japan (Honshu, Izuoshima Is., Shikinejima Is., Kozushima Is., Miyakejima Is., Shikoku, Oomishima Is., Iki Is., and Yakushima Is.) and China. New to Japan.
