Distribution. Europe (excluding north-east and east). In Scandinavia it is represented by particular subspecies S. melanogrammum septentrionale Pelletier, 1995 .
Material examined. 147 specimens ( KUMN, ZMUN, ZMHB) .
Biology. Deciduous and mixed forests. Parthenogenetic species. Adults occur in IV–VII. Polyphagous.
