Diagnosis. Wing pattern of this new species is similar to S. melanobasis ( Hampson, 1906) from Japan. But it can be distinguished from the latter by the broad uncus and juxta, and short spinate cornutus in the phallus. In S. melanobasis , the uncus is elongated, U-shaped juxta and phallus has a long spinate cornutus ( Kim et al. 2021).
