Material examined. ETHIOPIA: Addis Ababa 28.II.1992, M. Sarà (1Ƌ, 1♀) ( BMPC).

Distribution. S. abyssinica is endemic for the central highlands of Ethiopia.

Remarks. Described by Uvarov (1934) in the genus Parasphena Bolívar, 1884 , it has been transferred to Stenoscepa Karsch, 1896 by Dirsh (1961) and treated as such by Rowell et al. (2015).
