Stegana (Oxyphortica) triodonta Cheng and Chen , sp. nov.

( Figures 3 View Figure 3 (d), 4(h), 6(d) and 16).

Diagnosis

This species is similar to S. maichouensis in the presence of strong prensisetae on surstylus, but differs from the latter by having the surstylus with one strong, acute process medially and three strong prensisetae apically ( Figure 16 View Figure 16 (b)), aedeagus more elongated, with dense pubescence ventrally almost whole length and one pair of apically acute processes dorsally ( Figure 16 View Figure 16 (c, d)).

Description

Clypeus brown. Palpus yellow. Mesoscutum nearly brownish yellow ( Figure 4 View Figure 4 (h)). Scutellum brown medially, dark brown along margin, yellow at tip ( Figure 4 View Figure 4 (h)). Katepisternum yellow, sometimes slightly brownish above. Wing yellowish, brownish anterodistally ( Figure 3 View Figure 3 (d)). Abdominal tergites: 1st yellow; 2nd to 4th yellow medially, black on lateral and posterior margins, with thin brownish medial stripes; 5th and 6th tergites yellow medially, black laterally ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (d)). Male terminalia: Epandrium undeveloped on posterolateral corners, with pubescence and dense setae ( Figure 16 View Figure 16 (a)). Cercus lacking pubescence ( Figure 16 View Figure 16 (a)). Surstylus with three long setae basally and numerous setae apically ( Figure 16 View Figure 16 (b)). Parameres absent ( Figure 16 View Figure 16 (c, d)). Gonopods broadened to hood-shaped, elongated basolaterally (this elongation bifurcate) and apically, with one pair of suberect slightly bifurcate processes submedially and one pair of small processes subapically ( Figure 16 View Figure 16 (e)).
