Figs 39–42 View FIGURES 31 – 46 , 62, 63 View FIGURES 47 – 65 , 78 View FIGURES 66 – 79 , 94–96 View FIGURES 91 – 97 , 176–182 View FIGURES 176 – 182 .

Pale ochraceous (pale green in life). Anterior margin of crown and forewings pale brown.

Crown elongate, with sinuate lateral margins narrowed and rounded anteriorly, surface longitudinally rugose, rather flat. Face punctate. Pronotum coarsely punctate, one transverse submarginal band impunctate, without median or sublateral carinae, about as wide as or slightly wider than head including eyes. Forewing with outer subapical cell and four apical cells, narrowed posteriorly.

Male genitalia. Pygofer rather rectangular with dorsal margin sloping, ventral margin concave and with prominent ventral process along posterior margin and exceeding dorsal margin, apex rather rounded with toothlike projection, surface sparsely spinose. Subgenital plate 3.5 times as long as wide at base, rather triangular with rounded apex, with outer marginal long hair-like setae and lacking short stout setae. Style with stouter anterior half, apophysis curved laterally with prominent rugae on inner margin and long setae on outer margin, subapical lobe not prominent. Connective Y-shaped. Ventral process of aedeagus elongate, arms asymmetrical crossing each other at base and setulose along dorsal margins, apex with finely crenulated margin, aedeagus with atrium well developed, S-shaped with two pairs of tooth-like processes, shaft tubular with apical gonopore, in dorsal or posterodorsal view, shaft broad at base and narrowed distally. Segment X long with anterolateral short toothlike process on each side ventrally.

Female genitalia. Seventh sternite about as long as broad in middle, narrowed posteriorly, with deeply concave posterior margin having rounded lateral angles. First and second pair of vlavulae as in Figs 94–96 View FIGURES 91 – 97 .

Measurements. Male 7.2–7.5 mm long, 1.5 mm wide across eyes and 1.6 mm wide across posterolateral angels of pronotum. Female 7.8–8.4 mm long, 1.6–1.7 mm wide across eyes and 1.7 mm wide across posterolateral angels of pronotum.

Material examined. INDIA: Holotype Ƌ, West Bengal: Tiger Hills , 2660 m, 24.x.1981, S. Viraktamath ( UASB) . Paratypes: 4 Ƌ, 3 ♀, same data as holotype ( UASB) .

Etymology. The species name alludes to the sinuate lateral margins of the crown.

Remarks. S. sinuata resembles S. mishmiensis and S. yangi in the shape of the crown and in having the arms of the ventral process of the aedeagus setose dorsally and crossing over each other at the base. However, it differs from S. yangi in having the ventral process of the pygofer exceeding the dorsal margin of the pygofer lobe and from S. mishmiensis in having two pairs of atrial processes (one pair in S. mishmiensis ).
