Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition that refers to the type locality of the holotype. Diagnosis. Females of Scytodes turvo n.sp. resemble those of S. apuecatu Rheims & Brescovit by the female epigynum with widely separated, ridged positioning ridges ( Fig. 157 View FIGURES 153 – 159. 153 – 156 ; Rheims & Brescovit 2006: 302, fig. 33) and rounded spermathecae adjacent to rounded hyaline pockets ( Fig. 158 View FIGURES 153 – 159. 153 – 156 ; Rheims & Brescovit 2006: 302, fig. 34). They are distinguished by the larger spermathecae and shorter and thicker stalks ( Fig. 158 View FIGURES 153 – 159. 153 – 156 ). Description. Male unknown.

Carapace domed, 2.8 long, 2.5 wide. Eye diameters: PME 0.20, ALE 0.18, PLE 0.16. Lateral eyes on a tubercle. Chelicerae with subapical hyaline keel and inconspicuous stridulatory ridges. Labium 0.28 long, 0.36 wide. Sternum 1.4 long, 1.1 wide. Leg measurements: I: femur 4.2, patella 0.7, tibia 4.5, metatarsus 5.3, tarsus 0.8, total 15.5; II: 3.3, 0.6, 3.0, 3.7, 0.6, 0.6; III: 2.1, 0.6, 1.7, 2.2, 0.5, 7.1; IV: 3.2, 0.6, 2.9, 3.1, 0.6, 10.4. Palpal femur with stridulatory pick short and stout with triangular and projected socket. Epigynum with ridged positioning ridges, separated from each other by slightly more than three times their width ( Fig. 158 View FIGURES 153 – 159. 153 – 156 ). Vulva with rounded spermathecae of thick stalks adjacent to rounded hyaline pockets with slightly sclerotized lateral area ( Fig. 159 View FIGURES 153 – 159. 153 – 156 ).
