Diagnosis: Length 1.5 to 1.7 mm; width 1.1 to 1.3 mm. Dorsal color black, except head, anterolateral angles of pronotum and posterior margin of elytra yellow to orange; ventral color black, except legs, antennae, mouthparts and last three ventrites yellow. Males with first ventrite unmodified; fifth ventrite emarginate; sixth ventrite emarginate, depressed. Male genitalia with penis guide subtriangular, with rounded, membranous projections at apex ( Figs. 22, 23 View Figs ).
Material Examined: 25 specimens ( FIC, CIUM) .
Distribution: North America ( Gordon 1976, 1985).
New Localities: CAMPECHE: (3♀, 2♂) Edzná ( FIC) . HIDALGO: (1♂) Hidalgo ( FIC), (1♂) Huazalingo ( FIC) . OAXACA: (1♂) Ixtlán de Juárez ( CIUM) . QUINTANA ROO: (2♀, 1♂) Othón Blanco ( FIC) . TABASCO: (1♂) Tabasco ( FIC) . YUCATÁN: (5♀, 5♂) Tekax ( FIC), (1♀, 2♂) Ticúl ( FIC) .
Biology: This species has been collected as high as 2,283 m altitude, and in the biomes of mesophilic forest, high evergreen forest, scrub and deciduous forest. It has been collected in crops, herbaceous vegetation, and from Punica granatum L. ( Lythraceae ).
