Diagnostic description. Male. Body ( Fig. 3A View FIGURE 3 ) reddish-brown, mouthparts and tarsi paler. Body length 1.44– 1.47 mm. Head wider than long, length from anterior margin of clypeus to base 0.28–0.29 mm, width across eyes 0.37 mm. Each eye composed of about 20 facets. Length of eyes (0.12 mm) / length of tempora (0.05 mm) 2.4:1. Length of antennae 0.75–0.76 mm; club ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ) formed by antennomeres 9–11; antennomere 9 ( Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ) moderately transverse, strongly semi-membranous apophysis at basal third on mesal surface; antennomere 10 strongly transverse, obconical; antennomere 11 ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ) about 1.6 times as long as wide, with single apically truncate protuberance ( Fig. 3D View FIGURE 3 ) at base, which covered with sparse and thin setae at apex. Pronotum approximately as long as broad, length along midline 0.37–0.38 mm, maximum width 0.37 mm. Elytra moderately transverse, length along suture 0.48–0.50 mm, maximum width 0.58–0.59 mm. Abdomen widest at tergite 1 ( IV), and narrowing apically; mid-length of dorsally exposed part 0.36 mm, maximum width 0.52–0.53 mm. Length of aedeagus ( Fig. 3E View FIGURE 3 ) 0.17 mm; median lobe slightly asymmetric.
Female. Slightly larger than male in size. Body length 1.54 mm. Head wider than long, length from anterior margin of clypeus to base 0.29 mm, width across eyes 0.36 mm. Each eye composed of about 11 facets (each larger than in male). Length of eyes (0.12 mm) / length of tempora (0.06 mm) 2:1. Length of antenna 0.66 mm. Pronotum slightly wider than long, length along midline 0.36 mm, maximum width 0.39 mm. Elytra moderately transverse, length along suture 0.44 mm, maximum width 0.58 mm. Abdomen widest at tergite 1 ( IV), and narrowing apically; mid-length of dorsally exposed part 0.45 mm, maximum width 0.55 mm.
Comparative notes. Among the Chinese species that bear a single protuberance at the base of antennomere 11, the male of Sathytes jinggang can be readily separated by the unique form of the protuberance which is broadened and with sparse, thin setae at the apex. The form of antennomere 9 of the new species is most similar to S. perpusillus Yin & Li ; however, the latter species has one basal and one subbasal protuberance of antennomere 11.
Distribution. China: Jiangxi.
Etymology. The new species is named after Jinggang Mountain, where the type locality of this species is situated.
