Rondibilis similis Gahan, 1907 View in CoL
( Figures 1–18 View FIGURES 1 – 18 )
Rondibilis similis Gahan, 1907: 94 View in CoL (type locality: “Engano Island”).

Gui-Qiang Huang & Francesco Vitali, 2015 (printed on a rectangular white label with black borders in black ink)/ Engano, Bua-Bua. V. Other specimens: 4 males ( Figs 11–16 View FIGURES 1 – 18 ) and 1 female ( Figs 17 & 18 View FIGURES 1 – 18 ) with same locality, date and collector as types.
Distribution. Indonesia (Enggano Island).
Remarks. There are seven specimens with same locality, date and collector, but only two of them have a label handwritten by Gahan ( Figs 5 & 10 View FIGURES 1 – 18 ), while three specimens ( Figs 13–18 View FIGURES 1 – 18 ) have a label with “ Rondibilis similis Gah. Breuning dét.”. Gahan (1907) described specimens of both sexes, but only the ones having labels handwritten by Gahan should be considered as types. In all likelihood, Gahan did not observe the rest of specimens. According to the ICZN, Art. 74.7., we hereby designate the male specimen ( Figs 1–5 View FIGURES 1 – 18 ) having the type label as lectotype and the female specimen ( Figs 6–10 View FIGURES 1 – 18 ) as paralectotype. “Engano” was printed on all labels ( Figs 5, 10, 14, 16 & 18 View FIGURES 1 – 18 ), so Gahan (1907) also used “Engano” in his paper. Actually, “Engano” was the Italian transliteration of Enggano ( Modigliani, 1894), which is an island and lies off to southwestern coast of Sumatra, Indonesia.
