Global distribution: NT (Present paper)
Argentinian distribution: Río Negro, Santa Cruz.
Ecology: This species has been found in temporary and permanent ponds, lakes and springs. It was recorded from 157 to 930 m a.s.l., with water temperature ranging between 15 and 21°C, in alkaline waters (pH: 8.6–9.2), with wide electrical conductivity values (269–51278 μS/cm) and dissolved oxygen values from 10.6 to 13 mg /l.
