Species. R. jacundaensis Serra, Serra, Atzinger and Von

Etymology. For the new species, whose most evident characteristics are listed below, the authors propose the name Rhodnius jacundaensis sp. n., in homage to the type locality of Jacundá, State of Pará, Brazil (Serra, Serra, Atzinger & Von 1980: 120).

Original citation. “Para a nova espécie, cujas características mais evidentes vão abaixo relacionadas, os AA propõem o nome de Rhodnius jacundaensis sp. n., homenagem localidade-tipo Jacund, Estado do Pará, Brasil (Serra, Serra, Atzinger & Von 1980: 120).
