Rhagonycha (Rhagonycha) lencoranica Kazantsev, 1992
Distribution in Iran. Guilan: Assalem, between Hashtpar and Heroabad, 1,300 m ( Wittmer 1972, as Rhagonycha talyschensis ), Tales ( Kazantsev 1992: Iranian Talysh [ Wittmer 1972]). Generic records: Iran ( Delkeskamp 1977, as Rhagonycha talyschensis ).
Distribution outside Iran. Azerbaijan ( Delkeskamp 1977; Kazantsev 2004, 2011; Kazantsev & Brancucci 2007; Koçak & Kemal 2015).
Remarks. Kazantsev (1992) referred Wittmer’s (1972) record of Rhagonycha talyschensis Yablokov- Khnzorian, from Assalem, Iranian Talysh to Rhagonycha lencoranica . Regarding this last species being explicitly cited for Iran, it is unclear why subsequent articles ( Kazantsev 2004, 2011; Kazantsev & Brancucci 2007; Koçak & Kemal 2015) stated it as endemic to Azerbaijan. Both species are present in Lenkoran District/Talysh ( Azerbaijan) near the Iranian border (see above and under Rhagonycha talyschensis below).
