Distribution. China (Xizang, Yunnan).
Remarks. This species was previously placed into Semachrysa in Yang (1997). However, its morphological characters: the head, thorax and wings without markings, the brown forewing CuP, the extremely short female vela, are obviously consistent with those of Retipenna . Thus, we transfer this species from Semachrysa to Retipenna .
