Two syntype specimens, one male and one female, were located. These correspond to the two specimens Gorham (1881) examined. There was an additional specimen located with a syntype label, however we believe this to be in error as the locality does not match that which Gorham (1881) listed. The male specimen, bearing several type labels, is designated as the lectotype. The female is designated as a paralectotype. Labels for the designated lectotype specimen are as follows:
