COMMON NAME (S): Eggar, Snout moth (although this also refers to the Pyralidae ) or Lappet moth.

SYNONYM(S): Catalebeda elegans Aurivillius, 1925b ; Ptyssophlebia avis Berio, 1937 .

IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).

DISTRIBUTION: Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, Zambia.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Chikuni in Eastern Province (type locality of Ptyssophlebia avis ); ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Unknown .
