Type Locality: China, Gansu, 3 km above mouth of Kokusu River, Humboldt Mtns, Nan Shan ( Flerov, 1960).
Vernacular Names: White-lipped Deer.
Distribution: China (Gansu, Sichuan, E Tibet including Qinghai, and N Yunnan).
Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable as C. albirostris .
