Paraprotus quadripunctatus Roewer, 1947: 32 View in CoL , pl. 12, fig. 105.
Type data: Syntypes: Brazil. Amazonas : Manaus [–2.978°, –60.1435°], 1 ♂ 1 ♀ ( SMF RII 1489 /7a–b, examined by photograph) .
Diagnosis: DS beta-type, lenticular in lateral view higher at areas II – III ( Fig. 39C View Figure 39 ). May be differentiated from other Protus by having 10 coloured tubercles in lateral coxa IV near DS ( Fig. 39B–D View Figure 39 ).
Distribution: Only known from the type locality. Uatuma-Trombetas moist forest ecoregion in the Amazonas State of Brazil.
