Subgen. Aleuritia (Duby) Wendelbo. Hetero- or homostylous . Usually farinose or with farina-producing hairs, otherwise glabrous. Leaves with revolute vernation, not fleshy, coriaceous or rugose. Bracts usually saccate or gibbous. Calyx angled.
