(P. emarginata Pursh, non Desf.). Flowering stems up to 10 cm, lateral, ascending, sparsely hairy and sparsely to densely glandular. Leaves ternate; leaflets 5-15 mm, broadly obovate, with triangularoblong, acute or subobtuse teeth, sparsely hairy above, sparsely to densely hairy and often glandular beneath. Stipules of basal leaves ovate. Flowers 1-3. Epicalyx-segments elliptical or oblongelliptical, obtuse, a little shorter than the ovate sepals. Petals (4-5-)6-8 mm, yellow, about 1 | times as long as sepals. Style conical at base, slightly davate at apex. 2/i = 42. Arctic Europe. Rs (N) Sb Su. (Arctic America and W. Asia.)
