6. Ponera pallidipennis   HNS .

P. nigra opaca; abdomine lævigato, nitido, chalybeo-iridescente; antennis pedibusque obscure ferrugineis.

Male. Length 3 lines. Black; the head and thorax finely rugose and opake, the metathorax coarsely rugose; the scape and basal joint of the flagellum bright ferruginous, the following joints obscurely so. Wings colourless, with the nervures pale testaceous, the stigma pale brown; the legs fusco-ferruginous, with the articulations and the tarsi pale rufo-testaeeous. Abdomen smooth and shining, with a blue iridescence, the tip pale testaceous.
