Lophotyna hönei Boursin, 1956 , Zeitschrift der Wiener Entomologischen Gesellschaft, 41: 298, plate 30, figs 4, 5 (adults), plate 31, fig. 8 (male genitalia) (Type-locality: [ China, Yunnan, Lijiang] “ Li-kiang ( Nord-Yünnan ), etwa 3000 m ”).

Type material examined. Photographs of the holotype: male, “Li-kiang. ( China). Provinz Nord-Yuennan. 2.xi.1934. H. Höne. ” / red label “ Holotype ” ( ZFMK). Photographs of the paratypes: 1 female, with the same locality and collector as in the holotype, but 10.xi.1934. / red label “ Allotype ” ( ZFMK); 1 male, with the same locality and collector as in the holotype, but 14.xi.1934, gen. prep. No.: DS2302 ♂ ( ZFMK); 1 female, with the same locality and collector as in the holotype, but 8.xi.1934, gen. prep. No.: DS2303 ♀ ( ZFMK).

Diagnosis. The forewing length is 22 mm in males and 23 mm in females. The detailed comparison of P. hoenei and P. albosignata is provided above in the diagnosis of the latter species.

Distribution and bionomics. The species is known only from its type locality in northern Yunnan Province of China. The moths are on the wing in autumn, the habitat preferences and preimaginal stages are unknown.
