Material examined. China: Guangdong Province, Zhaoqing City, Dinghushan National Nature Reserve (23° 9'35.51"N, 112°33'15.05"E): two adults (in alcohol, W-97-7), from litter of Gnetum parvifolium , 20 Oct., 1997, leg. Hui-Fu Wang; four adults (in alcohol, W-97-3), from litter under banyan, 21 Oct., 1997, leg. Hui-Fu Wang; three adults (in alcohol, W-96-6), from litter, Mar., 1996, leg. Jian-Quan Lu; five adults (in alcohol, W-97-6), from litter under broadleaf forest, 21, Oct., 1997, leg. Hui-Fu Wang. Newly recorded from China.
Measurements of adults: Prodorsum: length 265–355, width 180–250, height 94–145, setae: ss 100, ro 30, in 184, le 25, distance between setae: ro -ro 36, in -in 75, le -le 150; notogaster: length 480–690, width 305–492, height 290–500; setae: c1 185, c2 180, c3 180, c p 170, d1 165, d2 155, e1 170, e2 160, h1 180, h2 170, h3 141, ps1 185, ps2 166, ps3 145, ps4 126; distance between setae: c1-d1 190, d1-e1 242, e1-h1 190, h1-ps1 120; ventral region: ad1 115, ad2 190, ad3 75, an1 90, an2 90; genitoaggenital plate 190×152, anoadanal plate 247×110.
Surface of body covered with concavities. Prodorsum with four robust dorsal carinae; lateral carinae strong and long, extend beyond sinus and reach end of rostrum; dorsal and lateral region indistinct; posterior furrows absent; sensilli long with narrow pedicel and fusiform head, covered with short spines; interlamellar setae long, robust, erect, sparsely barbed; lamellar and rostral setae spiniform, short, rough and semi-erect; exobothridial setae vestigial; comparative length: in>ss> ro> le. Notogaster with 15 pairs of setae, relatively long (c1 <c1-d1), robust, sparsely barbed; two pairs of lyrifissures ia and im present. Nine pairs of genital setae present with formula: 6(4+2): 3; one pair of aggenital setae present; anoadanal plates each with five rough and well-developed setae. Setae h of mentum vestigial; chaetotaxy of legs (without tarsi): I: 1-4-2(2)-5(1); II: 1-3-2(1)-3(1), III: 2-2-1(1)-2(1), IV: 2-1-1-2(1); setae d on femora I situated far from end of article; all legs monodactylous.
