Tribe Platysystatini Emeljanov

Description. Gonapophyses IX curvilinear, average length 1550.33 µm, width 86.90 µm, bearing 13 lobed teeth; apical third of apex carinate; apex porrect; small, sharp teeth on ventral surface of apex; ventral membranous sheath on distal third, small dorsal protuberance anterior to teeth ( Fig. 8B View FIGURE 8 ); space within carination of apex, smooth, with three pits; diagonal sculpturing on shaft ( Fig. 8B View FIGURE 8 ).

Notes. Platysystatini includes five species in four genera ( Barringer & Bartlett 2011, Asche & Webb 2013). The tribe is restricted to South America, where it evidently occurs in the rainforest canopy ( Barringer & Bartlett 2011). Plant associations are unknown for the tribe, but possibly on canopy epiphytes.
