Homotypic synonyms: Platyclinis longifolia (Rchb.f.) Hemsl., Gard. Chron., n.s., 16: 656, 1881. Acoridium longifolium (Rchb.f.) Rolfe, Orchid Rev. 12: 220, 1904.
Specimen examined:— KACHIN. Bhamo District: Foerstermann s.n. (W-R 13763).
Distribution:— Northern Myanmar (?), Thailand and Malesia as far east as New Guinea.
Notes:— It is doubtful that this Malesian species occurs this far north in Myanmar; it is likely Foerstermann collected it elsewhere (?Borneo). The same collector also ‘found’ Phalaenopsis sumatrana Korth. & Rchb. f. at the same locality.
